Tom is a theater and television actor based in New York. He originated the roles of John in Leah Nanako Winkler's Yale Prize winning play God Said This, Jack in Steven Dietz's Gaslight, Jeremy in Michael Weller's The Full Catastrophe, and Alex in Greg Kalleres' Wrecked.
Tom plays Sergeant Chuck Inslow on Law & Order: SVU, and has appeared on The Good Fight, The Night Of, Boardwalk Empire, Person of Interest, and It's Bruno!
Tom has helped develop new plays for the past twenty years in New York City, Cincinnati, Louisville, Minneapolis, Seattle, Denver, Sarasota, Rochester, Poughkeepsie, Valdez, and Shepherdstown, West Virginia; working closely with playwrights in readings, workshops, rehearsals, and World Premiere runs.

Tom was born in Massachusetts, the son of a psychologist and an economics professor. He graduated from Marlborough High School, got a degree in Drama and Math from Kenyon College, apprenticed at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and got his MFA in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver.
